When you are hired to work on a project on Workana, you agree, as well as the client, with an amount to charge for the work you'll conduct.
However, during the project, you may need to take care of extra tasks that weren't included in the initial budget.
For these cases, there's the option of Direct Payment.
Through the Direct Payment feature, your client is able to send you an extra payment for these tasks that weren't planned in the original agreement.
Please take into account that direct payments are meant for special cases and are not to be used to pay for entire projects - only to pay extra amounts that may be necessary during a project that is already being conducted.
Workana is able to cancel these payments even several days after they were sent, in case of any suspicions regarding them.
On the other hand, direct payments are not protected by Workana's guarantee, which means that there is no possibility of reimbursement in case of conflict between the parties as to the amount that was paid through direct payment.
If these extra tasks are necessary and have larger range, we recommend you advise your client to create an extension. That way, both are able to keep on working safely.🙂
